{"id":627,"date":"2018-11-23T13:45:18","date_gmt":"2018-11-23T12:45:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cranleigh.cc\/?page_id=627"},"modified":"2018-11-23T13:45:18","modified_gmt":"2018-11-23T12:45:18","slug":"ride-captain-responsibilities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cranleigh.cc\/index.php\/ride-captain-responsibilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Ride Captain Responsibilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Ride Captain Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<p>The role of the Ride Captain is to work with the Ride Leaders to ensure that club rides are well-managed, safe and reflect the aspirations of the club members.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The primary responsibilities are:<\/p>\n<h4>BEFORE THE RIDE<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Schedule the club rides with Ride Leaders \u2013 for all C-Levels and distances. Populate the club riding calendar with specific ride details at least 2 weeks in advance (preferably for the season).<\/li>\n<li>Manage the library of club ride routes \u2013 making them available to all Ride Leaders to use for club rides.<\/li>\n<li>If there is an adverse weather forecast, particularly ice, the Ride Captain should cancel rides, preferably by 18:00 the evening before the ride.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>POST RIDE<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Communicate with each Ride Leader to get feedback on the ride.<\/li>\n<li>Contact members to follow-up and resolve any issues, encourage, assist and advise individuals based on the feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Amend routes based on feedback from the Ride Leaders.<\/li>\n<li>Report objectively back to the committee.
